Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord. By using light touch, therapists help release tension and improve the functioning of the central nervous system, promoting overall health and well-being.
CST is recognized as a stand-alone as well as a complementary treatment that targets deep-seated tensions within the body, aiming to alleviate pain, enhance function, and promote overall health and vitality.
John E. Upledger pioneered CranioSacral Therapy (CST) following rigorous scientific research conducted from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University. This gentle, hands-on approach focuses on assessing and optimizing the craniosacral system, encompassing the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that safeguard the brain and spinal cord.
Craniosacral therapy identifies and addresses these blockages, alleviating symptoms such as pain or illness. By applying gentle touch to specific points on the cranium and sacrum, therapists facilitate the body's innate healing abilities. This approach clears blockages that impede spinal flow, fostering natural healing processes.
What to expect
During a CST session, you'll remain fully clothed. The practitioner begins by assessing your craniosacral rhythm and the condition of your cranial bones. Using gentle pressure techniques, we target areas of concern within the fascial system. It may take a little time to process and integrate the changes after a treatment

TMJ dysfunction can lead to headaches, neck pain, and shoulder pain in addition to jaw pain. It involves gentle techniques applied inside the mouth to address tension and restrictions in the jaw, palate, and surrounding structures.
Intraoral massage is a form of Cranioalsacral base technique that focuses on the muscles and tissues inside the mouth with cranial bones. It involves the manipulation of muscles, connective tissues, and fascia within the oral cavity to relieve tension, reduce pain, improve function, and promote overall oral health and well-being.
Somatic Emotional Release (SER) is a deeply profound and effective manual therapy developed by Dr. John E. Upledger, the creator of Craniosacral Therapy and former Medical Director of Upledger Clinical Services.
In SomatoEmotional Release, therapeutic imagery and dialogue are used to facilitate the necessary release of the energy cysts as well as other emotions stored in the body. The session enlists the support of the person’s Inner Physician or any other aspect of their internal guidance system to resolve physical and energetic imbalances.
Important
▪️ Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes so the therapist can easily access the spine. I do NOT offer CST over 60 minutes, except a first-time visit(90 minutes session) to prevent overwhelming the body would be counterproductive.
▪️ Please fill out a request form at least 2 weeks before you would like to schedule.
